The UTAS-Shinas team members, Aaisha Salim Saif Al Jahwari, Buthaina Salim Ali Al-Maqbali and Fatema Mohammed Ali Al Futaisi won 1^st place in the Competition for Clubs in Cultural Creativity at the Regional level, held on 10th February 2022.  The project which was mentored by Dr. Venkadeshan Ramalingam, titled “Smart AI-Based Virtual Eye & Assistant for Visually Impaired Person”. The team won OMR 200 and is will now be competing for the national level competition. The project has been organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Youth.
