The Research Committee of the Information Technology (IT) Department spearheaded the ‘Research Poster Presentation’ held at the Main Building, on March 20, 2019.

Twenty seven Advanced Diploma IT students participated and competed for the Best Poster category.

Students Younis Khamis Al Jabri and Amir Rashi Al Naqbi emerged as winners with their research poster entitled ‘Smart Shopping Trolleys for Hyper Markets in Oman using Raspberry pi.’

IT lecturer Dr. Gharib Al Matroushi awarded the winners and participants with certificates.

Said event was officiated by English Language Center (ELC) Head Mr. Ali Al Balushi, IT Department Head Ms. Amina Al Jabri and IT Section Head Ms. Amna Al Kaabi, and was attended by ShCT faculty, staff and students.

The event aimed at encouraging students to conduct researches to find solutions to problems through researches, and improve their presentation skills that can be of great help when they join national and international levels of competitions.
