The Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) of the Information Technology (IT) Department organized a training-workshop on ‘Turnitin’ at Room A-041, last February 5, 2019.

The workshop aimed to orient the IT staff on how ‘Turnitin’ can be used as a tool to maintain academic integrity by preventing plagiarism on students’ works.

IT lecturer Mr. Abdul Khadar Vaddati discussed topics on creating and formatting Turnitin link on e-learning, and using the rubric manager and similarity checker features. He also encouraged the participants to make use of the tool specially when they require their students to submit their assignments through Turnitin link.

The event, which consists of two sessions, was attended by IT lecturers and the Networking and Mathematics lecturers, respectively.
