The Information Technology (IT) lecturers attended an echo seminar on Open Educational Resources (OER) at the College Theater, Engineering Building on March 2, 2017.  

IT lecturer Mr. A. Saleem Raja conducted the seminar, which is part of IT Department’s Staff Development Program.

The seminar aimed at providing the staff with ample knowledge about open educational resources.

The speaker discussed the types of OER and license restrictions, OER large repositories, open access books or Open Courseware, and educational videos, which could be integrated into the course materials. 

The speaker encouraged the participants to continue getting certified through open online courses to keep themselves up-to-date in their areas of specialization.
