The Information Technology (IT) Department conducted a webinar on ‘Web Application Development using Jakarta Server Faces’ on January 27^th 2022 via MS Teams. The webinar aimed to provide the fundamentals of web applications and HTTP protocol and to train participants on how to use Jakarta faces in web application development.  Dr. Bala Dhandayuthapan from the department of Information Technology, Software Engineering section, served as the resource speaker. He talked about the basic concept of web application framework, Jakarta EE, the basics of Jakarta faces technology, UI components and component suites. He demonstrated on how to design web pages using NetBeans software. The webinar which was organized by the IT Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) was attended by thirty-one staff members from the IT Department.
