BSD organizes Accounting Management Day
The Business Club, in coordination with the Student Support Services Committee of the Business Studies Department (BSD) organized “Accounting Management Day” at the Main Building, on June 19, 2019.
Themed “Behind every good business is a great accountant”, the event was actively participated by BSD lecturers and students.
During the event, students took part in the following contests: Master Minds, Money Makes Many, Accounting Basic Knowledge Exhibit and Fin-Quo.
Omer Said Al Shibli, Hazza Mohammed Al Kaabi, and Salim Khamis Al-Isaii won the first prize while Mohammed Abdullah Al-Hinaai, Said Saif Al-Khaldi, and Abdul Rahman Al-Maamari got the second prize for the Master Minds competition.
Shahad Khaled Al Rushdi, Omaima Khasib Alashkhari, and Qutada Abdullah Al-Maqbali emerged as winners for the Money Makes Many competition, while Ayuob Mohammed Hassan Al Balushi, Saif Ali Said Al-Qartobi and Mahmood Khamies Al Hosni were the runners-up.
For the Accounting Basic Knowledge Exhibit, Alya Ali Khalifa Al-Rubaiyee, Hajer Khamis Salim Al-Mizini, and Maymouna Ahmed Hamdan Al-Farsi bagged the first prize, while Anwar Habib Ghuloom Al-Ajmi, Ashjan Saif Mohammed Ali Al-Maktumi and Najaya Saleh Mohammed Al-Farsiya got the second prize.
Finally, for the Fin-Quo competition, Houda Mohammed Ali Al-Farsi, and Laila Ali Salmeen Al-Bloushi came in first, while Abdul Rahman Al-Maamari, Said Saif Al-Khalid, and Abdul Rahman Al-Maamari came in second.
BSD Head Dr. Bader Khalid Hakim Al-Shabibi, and Heads of Sections Ms. Khadija Al-Issaei (HRM), Ms. Iman Al-Rubaiai (Accounting) and Dr. Joefrelin Ines (Marketing) awarded the winners.
