Training Program conducted on the Knowledge Economy
The knowledge economy is considered to be one of the most prominent features of the twenty-first century economy, and learning is an important source of knowledge enhancement, in addition to technology and innovation. Dr. Hani Al Balushi, lecturer from the English Language Centre, conducted a 5 day training program in Muscat, about Learning and its relationship to the knowledge economy. The training program was organized by the Institute of Public Administration for Diwan of the Royal Court’s employees. The program aimed at introducing the concept of knowledge economy and the key roles of learning, which contribute to strengthening the system, in an economy based on knowledge, technology and innovation. The program is part of the university’s commitment to serving the community, with experts from other universities and colleges across Oman, to share knowledge and experience with government and private sector employees. Dr Hanah Al Siyabi, Deputy Manager of the Training and Development Centre, awarded Dr Hani with a certificate of appreciation.
