To mark the occasion of Omani Women’s Day, the Student Support Committee at the English Language Centre organised an event to honour the achievements and contribution of Omani Women.  Members of the English Club (in collaboration with the IT Club) organised stalls in the lobby area of the ELC building, with beautiful decorations and pictures displaying prominent Omani Women, including Her Highness Sayeda Ahd Al Busaidi and Rahma Ibrahim, the first female to be appointed as the Minister of Higher Education.Students and teachers visited the stalls and were offered a variety of free gifts including make-up, jewellery items, Omani Halwa and traditional Omani food. The event aimed at highlighting the role of Omani women in the society to appreciate their efforts in transforming their communities through their dedication and hard work.
