L4 ELC lecturers attend ‘E-learning, Turnitin and ProQuest’ training
Nine Level 4 (L4) lecturers from the English Language Center (ELC) attended a training on ‘E-learning, Turnitin and ProQuest’ at the E-Library, on February 28, 2019.
ELC lecturer Mr. Abdallah Ali Al Balushi introduced E-Learning, which is used in institutions all over the world, as an easy and efficient way to utilize the available technology to improve the learning experience through enhanced teacher- student interaction.
He also highlighted the importance of the Turnitin program as a plagiarism checker, a very much needed tool in the assessment of students’ projects.
Mr. Abdallah then elucidated on ProQuest, a great online teaching management tool that enables teachers to further their interaction with their students beyond the classroom.
The event was organized by Level 4 Coordinator Mr. Mohammed Ashraf Chundakkadan, in collaboration with the Staff Professional Development Committee.
Staff Support Committee Coordinator Given Chakalisa awarded the presenter a certificate of appreciation and expressed his gratitude for sharing his expertise.
