Thirteen members of the English Group(EG) participated in a field trip to the Public Authority for Radio and Television (PART), Al Qurum, Muscat, Oman on March 2, 2016.

Accompanied by EG Coordinator Ms Amal Al Jahwari, the students come from ShCT’s  Foundation, Post Foundation, Diploma and Bachelor programs.

PART employee Mr. Yusuf Al Jabri guided the group, which toured  PART’s  studios and control room.

The one-day educational tour aimed to: 1) provide students an opportunity to interact, observe and use English in real life and professional contexts; 2) provide students with valuable educational opportunities to learn outside the classroom; 3) enrich educational possibilities as students learn from actual hands-on experience, rather than simply reading or hearing about something; 4) expose students to live Radio and TV programs , recording studios and technical equipment; and 5) meet Omani specialists from the television and radio industry .
