The English Club Organizes Vocabulary Games for Foundation Level Students
The English Club at UTAS Shinas has been playing an instrumental role in motivating and engaging foundation-level students through various events and activities to help enhance their language skills and build their confidence. One such recent event was the Vocabulary Games Competition, which was organized for Level 1 and Level 2 students.English Club members, Hafsa Al Maskari and Noof Al Qaidi, led the vocabulary games competions for both levels. They organized the "Professor" game, where students had to write specific vocabulary words beginning with a letter chosen at random. This activity proved to be an effective and engaging way for students to expand their vocabulary and learn new words. For Level 2 students, the English Club organized the "Z Type" game, which was another exciting vocabulary game, where students had to shoot the wrongly spelled words. This game introduced students to using fun ways to help them improve their spelling skills and to expand their vocabulary.The vocabulary games were a great example of how the English Club is actively supporting the language skills and level of engagement of foundation students at UTAS Shinas. The mini-events provided students with opportunities to learn and have fun while developing their language skills. The ELC management appreciated the efforts of the English Club, which reflect their commitment to fostering a positive learning environment by helping students to become confident and effective communicators.
