To welcome the new staff members at the ELC, the Staff Induction Program Committee, in collaboration with the Staff Support Committee organized an Orientation Day Program on September 21, 2021.  The orientation program, which was held at the ELC Conference Room, was attended by the University Dean, Dr. Ahmed Al Mamari and resource speakers from ELC Administration including Head of Section Ms Amal Al Jahwari, Head of Section Mr Hamdan Al Abri,  Dr Elmo Purpura from the Quality Assurance Department, and ELC Registrar- Ms Maryam Al Ghaithi.  The induction also included presentations from the former Exam Coordinator Mr Vinod Nair, Health and Safety representative Mr Shijan Joseph, Ms Razwana Khawaja from SPDC and Mr Given Chakalisa from Staff Support Committee. Each delivered a 10-minute presentation outlining the policies and systems in place, which align with the university’s strategic plan.  A tour of the campus was given along with an introduction to the facilities and services available to member of staff at UTAS- Shinas.  Ms Rhona Waga from Staff Induction Program committee hosted the two hour event.
