Shinas College of Technology through the Engineering Club participated in the annual global event of Earth Hour last March 23, 2013. The program started at 2:30 PM with a speech delivered by the club members welcoming the guests from Majan Electricity Company. The celebration was attended by Dr. Ali Al Mughairi, College Dean, Ms. Aysha Al Jabri, ADSA, Ms. Fawziya Al Jabri, QAU, Dr. Mahmoud Khazalah, Head, Engineering Department and other staff members. The representatives of Majan Electricity Company gave a presentation on energy saving which was well appreciated by the audience. The presentation was followed by the inauguration of student project exhibition on renewable energy and energy saving. The exhibition was inaugurated by the College Dean. Games and competitions were also demonstrated to grace the event. The Engineering Club members expressed their gratitude for the active involvement and participation of the guests and the benefactors which made the activity successful.
