The Teaching and Learning Committee, in coordination with the Industry and Community Engagement Committee of the Engineering Department (ED), organized a lecture on “Testing and Analysis of Power & Distribution Transformers” on November 19, 2019, at Room A-229, Main Building.

VOLTAMP Oman Testing Engineer Khaled Salim Al Rushdie and Site Engineer Abdul Majeed Al Maqbali served as the resource speakers.

They discussed the various types of transformers used in the transmission and distribution of electrical power, and the prototype models used in the distribution side.

Twenty-five Diploma Electrical Engineering students enrolled in Electrical Power Technology course and their respective course lecturers attended the said lecture.

ED Head Dr. Ahmed Al Balushi expressed his gratitude to the speakers and awarded them with certificates.
