The Civil and Architectural Engineering Section (CAES) of Engineering Department (ED) arranged a seminar entitled “Construction Materials Testing” presented by Mr. Prakash Kandasamy, CES lecturer, held at the Amphitheatre, Engineering Building, on March 1, 2018.

CAES Head of Section (HoS) Dr.Mahmoud Khazalah welcomed the speaker and participants on behalf of the Department.  Mr. Praveen Kumar, CAES lecturer, introduced the keynote speaker.

CAES students attended the seminar which enabled them to gather knowledge needed for the completion of their project which is a part of the curriculum.

The seminar was very useful in gathering knowledge about physical, mechanical & chemical properties of construction materials. The applications of admixtures and fibers in concrete were discussed. The Non-destructive testing method workout was also discussed during seminar.
