Awareness Workshop on Industrial Expectations from Fresh Graduates
The Engineering Department recently organized an awareness workshop on the topic of "Industrial Expectations from Fresh Graduates" at UTAS-Shinas on 7th March 2023. The workshop featured Eng. Majid Mohammed Salim Al , an alumnus of UTAS-Shinas, as the resource person. A total of 53 students from UTAS-Shinas attended the session, along with 8 staff members.
During the workshop, the students were enlightened about the significance of pursuing engineering degrees and how they can integrate their personal and professional lives with their chosen scientific specialty to foster greater passion and motivation. The session emphasized crucial aspects such as interviews and assessments that students need to focus on and prepare for in their post-university lives. Furthermore, the workshop underscored the importance of providing an effective and healthy educational environment for students, enabling them to fully benefit from vocational training in private sector organizations. It also emphasized the necessity of familiarizing oneself with the tools, standards, and engineering devices commonly employed in various industries.
By shedding light on these topics, the workshop aimed to equip fresh graduates with valuable insights into the expectations and requirements of the industrial sector. The Engineering Department hopes that this initiative will empower students to make informed decisions and enhance their preparedness for successful careers in their chosen engineering fields.
