Twenty-seven students enrolled in Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering participated in an industrial visit at Al Samna Metal Manufacturing & Trading Company LLC on November 9, 2017.

Mr. Muhammad Khalid, Site In-charge, explained the safety measures and processes in the factory.

The visit aimed to impart knowledge on the students the production of steel rectangular hollow steel tubes, square hollow steel tubes, and  galvanized pipes using sheet metals of various thickness.

Through this industrial visit, students had a closer look at manufacturing methods, automation and different mechanisms, overhead cranes, and welding machines.

The Engineering Department, in coordination with ShCT’s On-the-Job Training Department, organized the industrial visit.

Dr. Mahmoud Khazalah H.O.D of Engineering Department, Mr. Jamal Aslam H.O.S of Mechanical Section managed the industrial visit, while Mr. K. Manikandan and Mr. Maria Rajesh guided the students.
