Awareness of environmental issues has led to an increase of accounting practices to measure the impact of human activity on the earth's ecological systems and resources. Student Support Services Committee of Business Department organized a workshop titled “Green Accounting” for all levels of BSD Accounting Specialization students on Monday, 11^th October 2021. The guest speaker was an academic, Dr. A. Jessie Golda, who joined us online from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She was welcomed and introduced by Ms. Nithya Sambamoorthy, Coordinator, SSS Committee to the students. Dr. A. Jessie Golda started by asking, ‘Can a new way of Green Accounting save our planet earth’?  She provided broad information on the topics such as Environmental Financial Accounting (EFA) and Environmental Cost Accounting (ECA). The webinar was interactive. At the end, Ms. Nithya Sambamoorthy gave a vote of thanks to the guest speaker.
