The Students Support Service Committee (SSSC) of the Business Studies Department spearheaded a knowledge sharing session on Human Resource Management for the students on Nov. 8,2015.

The guest speaker Mr. Said Saif Mohammed AL Hashami, Manager HR Strategy and Staffing services from Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industry Company (ORPIC), focused on various aspects of human resource management and its role and importance in any organization.

The ORPIC executive also highlighted the concept of strategic hiring, which means finding the ‘high potential’ candidate who can do ten times more than an average employee. He also spotlighted on the interview process that probes into an applicant’s work ethics, attitude, aptitude and motivation.

Organized by Dr. R. Alamelumangai, the workshop was coordinated by Mr. Ahmed Alsaadi and Mr. V.K.Vivek, members of SSSC.
