The Staff Support Services Committee of the Business Studies Department (BSD) organized a seminar on “Encouraging Students’ Critical Thinking” at the Ampitheater, on May 2, 2019.

A visiting professor at Sohar University, Dr. Jose Cristina Parina, an Associate Professor at the Department of English and Applied Linguistics of De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines, served as the resource speaker.

Dr. Parina elucidated  the use of probing and engaging teaching methods in enhancing students’ critical thinking.

Lecturers from the Engineering, BSD, Information Technology (IT) and English Language Center (ELC) attended the said event.

BSD Head Dr. Badar Al Shabibi expressed his gratitude to the speaker and awarded her with a certitificate and token of appreciation.
