A group of Business Studies students visited Jindal Shadeed Iron and Steel LLC on Monday, 22^nd  November 2021. The group of visitors included 15 students along with two BSD lecturers               Dr. Sunder Rajan and Dr, Vimal Kumar. The industrial visit was organized by the Industrial Liaison Committee of the Business Studies Department with an aim to provide students the opportunity to recognize the work environment of an organization in the manufacturing sector.  The trip included a visit to the plant, where the process of manufacturing steel from the ore was explained. Students also interacted with the Finance Manager of the company, and learned about the inventory control system, profit maximization, managerial decision making, and procurement processes.

The accompanying lecturers from UTAS – Shinas expressed their gratitude to Mr. Nawal Dhaval, the Finance Manager at Jindal Shadeed for sharing his expertise. The need for fostering continuous relations between both organizations, for future programs and developments was highlighted.
