The Student Support Services Committee of the Business Studies Department (BSD) organized a workshop for its students at the Theatre, Engineering Building, on October 4, 2019.

Entitled “Understanding Entrepreneurship”, the workshop aimed to develop the basic concepts of entrepreneurship, understand the small business advantages and explore the opportunities for small businesses in Oman.

Small Medium Enterprises (SME) Development Fund Deputy Manager Mr. Qais Al Balushi, the resource speaker, enumerated the various business opportunities available in Oman and explained the processes involved in establishing a business and new startups and mobilizing the resources for business and funding agencies for entrepreneurship in Oman.

BSD Head Dr. Badar Khalid Al Shabibi expressed this gratitude to the speaker and awarded him with a certificate of appreciation.
