The Student Support Services Committee of the Business Studies Department (BSD) facilitated a workshop on “How to Establish and Manage a New Business” for its BSD students on January 28, 2020 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Engineering Building.

Assistant Communication Manager Mr. Ashraf Al Zadjali of Sohar Port and Free Zone, the guest speaker, discussed the various business opportunities in Oman, steps in establishing and managing a business, new startups, mobilizing resources for business and Oman’s funding agencies for entrepreneurship.

During the workshop, the students developed a business plan based on the inputs given to them. They presented their plans and received valuable comments and feedback from the speaker.

Marketing Head of Section Dr. Joefrelin Ines expressed his gratitude to the speaker and awarded him with a certificate of appreciation.
