The Business Studies Department (BSD) organized ‘Marketing Day’ with a theme, “Changing Oman’s Business Landscape through the Unique and Exceptional World of Marketing” on November 28, 2018, at the 2nd Floor, Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) Main Building.

The event kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by Asst. Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Mamari, English Language Center (ELC) Head Mr. Ali Mohammed Al-Balushi, and BSD Head Ms. Khadija Al-Isaei.

There were five competitions held namely: Exhibit, On-the-Spot Logo, Salesman of the Year, Debate (Cut the Crap) and Ad Selfie.

Asma Talib Ali Al Quraini, Iman Abdullah Ismail Al Shihhi, Sara Rashid Hamdan Al-Badi, and Ghaith Salim Ali Al Badwawi won in the On-the-Spot Logo Competition while Abdul Rahman Hilal Al Balushi, Masoud Rashid Masuod Al Issaei,  Abdullah Nabih Al Hawati, and Abdul Aziz Al Maqbali were named Salesmen of the Year, Hazza Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi and Abdul Aziz Al Maqbali were adjudged as Best Salesmen.

Safia Ali Mohamed Al-Shihi, Badriya Mohammed Almur Al Shehhi, and Rasha Abdullah Said Al Saadi won the Debate Competition, while Ghadeer Haitham Al Kishri won the Best Ad Selfie and Best Exhibit.

BSD Head Ms. Khadija, Accounting Head of Section (HoS) Ms. Iman Al Rubaia, and Marketing HoS Dr. Joefrelin Ines capped the activity with the awarding of winners.

The event was organized by organized by the Business Club, supported by the Student Support Services Committee and Marketing Section lecturers was actively participated by students and lecturers of BSD.
