The Business Studies Department (BSD) conducted ‘Human Resource Management Day’ with the theme, ‘Inspiring Immediate Managers’ on the 2^nd floor of the Main Building, on January 30, 2019.

BSD students participated in the four competitions namely: HR Management Cup 2019, Green Office Management, Best HR Manager, and Quiz Bee.

Fathma Khalfan Al-Fazari, Shadha Saif Al-Fazari, and Mariyam Waheed Al-Dhuhuri bagged the first place for the HR Management Cup 2019, while Said Abdullah Al-Hosni, Abdul Hafidh Abdallah Al- Abdul Salam, and Salim Rashid Al-Saeedi got second place.  

On the other hand, Shadha Saif Al-Fazari and Mariyam Waheed Al-Dhuhuri emerged as winners for the Green Office Management competition while Halima Ibrahim Al-Balushi, Mariyam Salim Al-Khuzaimi, Manal Salim Al-Saadi, Bodoor Mohammed Al-Moqbali and Halima Rashid Al-Maamari were the runners-up.

For the Best HR Manager competition, first and second places went to Shaheera Said Al Mamari and Omar Said Al Shibli, respectively. In the Quiz Bee competition, Rasha Abdullah AlSaidi, Fathma Ibrahim Al Balushi, and Ghadeer Yousuf Al-Zaabi came in first, while Marwah Obaid Al-Kahhali, Mahmood Khamis Al-Housni, and Ayuob Mohammed Al-Balushi came in second.

BSD Head Dr. Badar Khalid Al Shabibi, Head of Accounting Section Ms. Iman Al Rubaiai and Head of Marketing Section Dr. Joefrelin Ines awarded the winners.

The event was graced by College Dean Dr. Ahmed Al Mammari, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Mr. Younus Mohammed Al-Zaabi, English Language Center (ELC) Head Mr. Ali Al-Balushi, Head of Quality Assurance Department Ms. Mariam Ali Al-Aufi, and Networking Information Technology Head of Section Mr. Syed Mehr Ali.

The Business Club, in cooperation with the Student Support Services Committee, organized the said event.
