BSD celebrates 48th Oman National Day
The Department of Business Studies (BSD) celebrated 48th National Day on November 18-19, 2019, at ShCT Reception Area.
Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mamari, heads of the Academic and Administrative Departments and Centers within the College, guests and students attended the celebrations.
On the first day, there was a ceremony including singing of several national songs, as well as distribution of Omani cuisine, sweets and coffee, and handing out souvenirs bearing the slogan of the Sultanate.
On the second day, Business Studies Club organized an event entitled “Express Your Happiness.” The event started with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome speech to the participants in the event. Then, BSD Head Ms. Khadija Bint Ahmed Al Isaiya delivered a speech highlighting Oman’s virtues and blessings on everyone and how to give back to the country under the leadership of His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, with prayers that God protect him and his health and wellness.
The celebrations also incorporated several activities such as, fashion show for children in Omani national clothing, with the participation of the Pioneers of Oman Kindergarten; historical geographical competition about the Sultanate among the students; and Poetry and singing.
The ceremony ended with the distribution of the memorial gifts and thanking all participants, with heartfelt wishes for the excellence and progress of the Business Studies Club at the College.
