The Department of Counseling and Graduates Follow-up, within the framework of its interest and care in developing the development and skills of students in all areas, conducted a workshop entitled “How to Write a Professional Curriculum Vitae” on November 16, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm via MS Teams. In the beginning, Ms. Nadia Al-Saieya welcomed the participants, and then presented the speaker, Dr. Nawal Al-Balushi, who spoke about various essential points related to designing an effective CV: (1) the importance of CV as a marketing page that presents the skills, achievements, and experiences of the job seeker to join an institution in a realistic, interesting, and scientifically organized and attractive manner, (2) the aim of writing a CV is to try to get an opportunity that qualifies you for an appointment for a personal interview, (3) the elements of the resume, which are personal information, academic qualifications, scientific, practical and personal experiences, and (4) CV references. This element is considered the last element of the CV, and it must be written at the end of the CV. It gives reliable and documented credibility to scientific and practical experiences. At the end of the workshop, Dr. Nawal Al-Balushi showed some CV formats and designs that can be used when writing the CV. The workshop was concluded with many thanks to the participants and the presenter.
