The Project entitled “Internet-of-Medical-Robotic-Things (IoMRT): A Remote Healthcare Assistance and Monitoring System” developed by 3 students, Fatema Mohammed Ali Al Futaisi, Buthaina Salim Ali Al-Maqbali and Aaisha Salim Saif Al Jahwari, won first place in the Oman IoT & AI Challenge 2022 in the national level competition on 26^th September 2022. The team  was mentored by UTAS-Shinas lecturer, Dr. Venkadeshan Ramalingam. The event which was sponsored by IEEE, in cooperation with IEEE TEMS and Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship Company, aims to discover young talents in 11 Arab countries namely: Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Qatar, Palestine, Oman, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain and Algeria. The winning teams representing each country will go on to compete in the regional finals being held in Dubai at the GITEX Technology week, from 10^th to 13^th October  2022.
