A group of 21 Shinas College of Technology (ShCT) students participated in a workshop on “Electronic Extortion” at Sohar Hall, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on October 21, 2019.

Initiated by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Al Batinah North Chamber, the seminar aimed to educate the participants about electronic extortion and ways to deal with this criminal offense.

Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Umar of Sohar University’s Faculty of Law and Dr. Sanad Sulaiman Al Maskari of the Information Technology Department served as the resource speakers.

Ms. Maryam Al-Briki and Ms. Nadia Al-Saidi of the Department of Counseling and Graduates Follow-Up accompanied the students in the said event.
