ShCT female studes join Khazzan Young Leaders Programme
A group of 45 female graduate students from different departments of ShCT participated in Khazzan Young Leaders Programme held at Millennium Hotel, Al Musannah, Oman, from December 21 to 23, 2017.
The participants performed a number of featured activities and tasks on land and sea. They also attended different sessions aimed at developing a variety of essential interpersonal skills. They were divided into six groups and they took part in different competitions focusing on various skills and strategies such as decision-making and goal-setting, responsibility and leadership. All the tasks and activities were not only vital for the workplace but were also helpful in carrying out daily tasks.
Everyone who took part showed their commitment, creativity and willingness to work together with others to complete all the tasks.
Fatma Al-Badi, engineering student, commented, “This program was a great opportunity for us to develop crucial skills that will be needed for future employment situations. I am really thankful for all organizers and to BP Oman for sponsoring the event.”
Student Supervisor, Maryam Al- Aufi, added that such opportunity should not be missed as it enables students to improve team-work, self-management, and problem-solving skills which they need to overcome life’s challenges.
Said programme was organized by Oman Sail and was sponsored by BP Oman as part of BP Oman’s Social Investment initiatives.
