The Information Technology Department recently organized a workshop entitled “Rationalization and Humans” on 28th February 2023, on campus. The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of rationalization and how it is applied in our daily lives. The event featured Mr. Nagoor Meeran, a faculty member from the department of Information Technology, networking section, as the resource speaker. Mr. Nagoor demonstrated how rationalization is used as a defense mechanism to explain unacceptable behavior or feelings in a logical and rational manner. He also highlighted the reality of cheating, dispelling any misconceptions that it is a myth. The event was attended by 27 IT department staff members, who participated in the workshop. The IT Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) was responsible for organizing and facilitating the online training.  Overall, the workshop was informative and enlightening, providing valuable insights into the concept of rationalization.
