Information Technology (IT) Department faculty member, Dr. A. Saleem Raja conducted a webinar on “Fundamentals of Applied Data Science” on 22^nd February 2022 in Lab A138. The webinar aimed to provide participants with knowledge on the importance of data science and how this field of study combines domain expertise, programming skills, and knowledge of mathematics to extract significant insights from data. Dr Saleem Raja discussed data science components, applications, process and tools. He also demonstrated the required method to extract large amount of data from websites and its applications. Twenty-four staff members from IT Networking and Math sections attended. IT Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) organized and facilitated the webinar.
