Industrial visit to Oman Methanol Company LLC
A team of the Industry Engagement Committee (IEC) visited Oman Methanol Company LLC (OMC) on 2nd June 2022, with the aim of strengthening the relationship between UTAS Shinas and OMC. The team consisted of four IEC members, Dr. Darwish Abdullah Ali Al Kalbani, Dr. Hani Abbas Mohammed Al-Balushi, Mr. Aranganathan and Mr. Soofi Azizuddin Khusro. Human Resources Officer Mr. Ismail Al-Zadjali, Mr. Mohammed Issa Al-Balushi Human Resources Manager and Ms. Lamia Khalfan Al Ghaithi HR Specialist – Training & Development, met the UTAS team. The meeting was prolific and delegates from both the organizations discussed possible cooperation in several areas including guest lectures, sponsorships, student and staff industrial visits, tournaments, and utilization of university resources by OMC. IEC Chairperson Dr. Darwish Abdullah Ali Al Kalbani invited the delegates of OMC to visit UTAS Shinas to explore the university.
