The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department at UTAS-Shinas  congratulated students Salem Saeed Al-Alawi, Sara Abdullah Al-Abri, and Maather Ali Al-Khalidi on their project titled, Solar Thermal Power Plant, for being chosen as one of the top ten projects submitted to participate in the Renewable Energy Innovation Competition, held at Suhar University on September 28th, 2022. The project idea was chosen from among 100 entries submitted by participating universities. Dr Joseph Sekhar and Ms Maryam Al Nofli oversaw the project. The competition was aimed at encouraging young innovators from colleges and universities across Oman, as part of the Community Social Responsibility initiative, to raise awareness of environmental challenges.
