ELC Workshop on Effective Communication Skills in Suhar
As part of the ELC’s efforts to serve the local community and industries, English Language lecturer Mr Nasser Al Hindasi conducted a workshop in Sohar for the Customer Protection Authority in Sohar, Al Batinah North. The workshop was attended by 20 staff members of the Customer Protection Authority. Mr Nasser discussed the concept of communication types, 9 common challenges, conflict resolution and the 7 C’s of communication defined as, clarity, correct, concise, courteous, concrete, considerate and complete. The interactive workshop was conducted in Arabic using group work activities, role plays and mini debates on possible communication scenarios that would typically take place in the customer protection context. Mr Nasser was presented a certificate of appreciation by Mr Ali Al Kaabi Head of Training.
