The English Language Centre at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences Shinas, was proud to welcome the new intake of over 400 foundation-level students, who joined semester 2 of this academic year 2022-23. The students have come from various cities across North Al Batinah, including Al Khabourah, Saham and other areas including Musandam, Al Suwaiq and Muscat. 

The Head of the English Language Centre, Mr Saif Al Weshahi commented, ‘students bring with them a wealth of talent, enthusiasm and energy’ He added that the ELC at UTAS Shinas is dedicated to providing its students with a comprehensive and well-rounded education, to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today's rapidly changing world. With a focus on innovation, practicality, and hands-on learning, the university as a whole is committed to helping its students achieve their full potential.

The Student Support Committee of the ELC and members of the English Club welcomed the new students with sweets and motivational messages.  English Club member Abdul Hakim Al Badi encouraged the new joiners to participate in extracurricular activities by getting involved with  events at UTAS Shinas, in order to make the most of their university experience.
