The Industry Engagement Committee (IEC) team representing UTAS Shinas visited Sohar Aluminium on Monday, 25^th April 2022, with the aim of strengthening the relationship between UTAS Shinas and Sohar Aluminium. The team consisted of three IEC members, Dr. Darwish Abdullah Ali Al Kalbani, Dr. Hani Abbas Mohammed Al-Balushi and Mr. Soofi Azizuddin Khusro.Mr. Jameel Mohammed Shakeel (Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility Manager) welcomed the team to Sohar Aluminium, later Mr. Saeed Al Jabri (CSR Superintendent) and Mr. Waleed Al Shukaili (Communication Senior Analyst) joined the meeting.  Delegates from both organizations discussed the prospect of future co-operation in several areas including guest lectures, sponsorships, student and staff industrial visits, and ways to offer the university resources to Sohar Aluminium. IEC Chairperson Dr. Darwish Abdullah Ali Al Kalbani invited the delegates of Sohar Aluminium to UTAS Shinas to explore the university.
