Student Support Services Committee of Business Studies Department organized a “Case Analysis Competition” for students on 22^nd February, 2022. 17 teams across the departments of the university registered and 11 teams participated in the event. The competition had three rounds, in the preliminary round student teams were given a case for analysis to summarize their views based on the given criteria, followed by a brief presentation by the teams. The top 7 teams were picked by the judges for the second/elimination round in the competition for the presentation, followed by a Q&A session.  The top 5 teams were selected for the final round with a new case for analysis, with a presentation followed by a group debate and Q&A from the judges.

The winning team included Hamed Khalid Al Saadi, Abdul Rahman Ahmed Al Saadi from Business Studies and Omar Hassan Murad Hasan Al-Balushi from Engineering, while the team of Business Studies Abdul Rehman Mohammed Said Al-Shehi, Omer Said Said Salim Khalfan Al-Shibli, Zuwaina Rashid Said Al-Jahwari, took second place. The third team were Business Studies students Anwar Ali Said Kindi, Asma Dawood Sulaiman Al-Ghaithi and Kalitham Mohammed Said Al-Moqbali.

The winning teams were given certificates of merit by Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Shehri, Asst. Dean for Academics and Ms. Khadija Ahmed Al Isaei, HoD who congratulated all the participants and the winners.

The HoS-Accounting, Ms. Iman Rabiaa Salim Al Rubaiai, HoS-Marketing, Dr. Joefrlin members of SSSC, the faculty of Business studies motivated the students for their success in the competition.
