About Human Resources Management Section

The success of any organization depends on the quality and quantity of its workforce.  Human Resource is the most important asset of any organization. 
 Human Resource is a subject which provides a learning platform for students to learn to work with people’s skills, abilities and interests. This specialization provides an overview of how an organization can discharge its responsibility, by formulating policies and implementing strategies relating to the management of workforce. It also equips students to accept various roles confidently in the organization and contribute positively to the development of the country.
The various courses under this specialization will acquaint students with the nuances of the Omani Government rules and regulations in business, decision making, strategies of business and manpower planning and management.  
The Human Resource Management Program covers the following courses at different levels:
Diploma- (first year) Human Resources Management, Psychology at Work, and Organizational Behavior. 
Advanced Diploma- Principles of Macroeconomics, Recruitment and Selection, Business Ethics and Compensation and Benefits, Research Methodology, Human Resource Information System, Managing Troubled Employees, E-Commerce for Business, Training and Development, International Issues on HRM, Banking Theory and Practice, Total Quality Management, Public Speaking, Management of Diversity, Teamwork Management and Senior Project,
Baccalaureate -Business Law, Performance Appraisal and Productivity, Business Strategy & HRM, Strategic Management and Manpower Planning, Insurance: Theory & Practice, Employees Relation, Practical HRP, Management Information System, Graduation Project, Formal Arabic communication and Omani Civilization.  
These aforesaid courses are designed to equip students with in-depth understanding of various concepts, principles, theories, and philosophies in the areas of Human Resource Management. The learning outcomes will assist students in making a meaningful contribution to the organization and help in building a globally competitive organization.
