Activity I - Beach Clean-up: ‘Go Clean and Grow Green’

Venue: Al-Aqur Beach-Shinas, 7:30 Am to 9:30 AM

It is a volunteer activity in which the participants are divided into teams of 5 members. And each team is monitored by one Business staff. The activity will begin at 7:30 AM in Al-Aqur Beach-Shinas up to 9:30 AM. All teams’ members will get certificates of Participation.

Activity II - Kite Flying Festival Competition: “Kite Fest 2023”

Venue: Al-Aqur Beach-Shinas, 9:30 Am to 11:30 AM

In this competition the number of participants by a team of 2-3 members. Its main aim is to enhance the team work spirit and to show the potential of creativity and idea generation of the candidates. Each team has to design and prepare their own kite and bring it the day of the competition. All the candidates will receive certificates of participation and 3 winning teams will be announced and rewarded at the end of competition.

JUDGING CRITERIA

30% Construction, Originality, Creativity and Design – Judges will look for an ORIGINAL, UNIQUE, and STRIKING KITE
20% Theme- the kite should include a theme related to the concept of the day: Environmental awareness day
30% Duration of flight Kite is able to fly
20% Height – Steadiest and Active kite in the air

COMPETITION RULES

Registration is FREE and OPEN TO EVERYONE.
Registration is required to be considered for prizes.
Each team may enter only one kite.
The participants may choose any material he/she desires to use for his/her entry. It may be paper, cloth or any similar light material such as wood, bamboo, etc. and metal connectors.
Participants must be present at the time of judging to be considered for prizes.
Kites should be handmade.
Each “pilot” is allowed one “co-pilot” to assist with achieving flight.
If a kite is damaged during the competition, the kite-maker may try to repair the kite. If it is able to be repaired, it may be launched again to determine if it will meet at least the one (1) minute flying regulation.
