Software Engineering Students Visit SACTECH
As part of their industrial immersion, fourteen (14) students in the Information Technology specializing in Software Engineering visited Sachin Technologies (SacTech) in Ruwi, Muscat City, Sultanate of Oman, on March 15, 2016.
The industry visit aimed to acquaint the students with the various software design methodologies being used by software development firms, and to allow them to understand the methods of testing, measuring, and documenting software products.
Ms. Hiral, Sales and Admin, welcomed the group and introduced them to the SacTech staff. Mr. Mohammed Suhail, Technical Project Manager, gave a short discussion on software development process being adopted, and the software products and services offered by the company. He also emphasized the importance of project management in software development and how the Agile Method works in their company.
SacTech’s software engineer, Mr. Ashok, demonstrated how they code the social media the company is working with while software designer Mr. Jayesh and system administrator Mr. Ilesh exhibited the social media they are working on.
ShCT’s IT lecturers Mr. Edgardo Dalan Jr. and Mr. Madhavan accompanied the students.
The Industrial Link Committee of the IT Department, in cooperation with the OJT department, arranged this industry visit.
