Additionally, IT Lecturer Ms. Aysha Mater Al-Jabri explained the academic system and its related policies and procedures. Further, she enlightened and guided the students regarding academic matters that would serve to help them in obtaining the desired Cumulative General Point Average (CGPA) and thereby avoid entering the probation status.
Mr. Ahmed Al-Farsi, Head of Counselling and Graduates Follow-up, held an in-depth discussion on probation and how to avoid and move out from it. He also shared with students different learning styles, study habits, and other related matters.
ETC Technicians Ms. Kalithem Mohammed Salim Al-Jabri and Ms. Maryam Ahmed Salim Al-Suliteni informed the students about the student services offered by the Educational Technology Center in the college.
This induction-cum-orientation activity aimed to apprise and educate the new diploma students about the academic system and its policies and procedures, and the specializations offered. It also aimed to inform them of the available student services and support, counseling services, and extra and co-curricular activities, among others.
This classroom- by-classroom induction program was discovered to be more effective as the percentage of attendance was higher.
