ELC QA Coordinator Presents Center’s Peer Observation Program
English Language Center’s Quality Assurance coordinator Mr. Elmo Purpura presented the center’s Peer Observation Program at the Multi-Purpose Hall, February 21, 2016.
Mr. Purpura discussed the rationale of the program, which was one of the suggestions of some faculty during a brainstorming session last academic year.
The Center’s Peer Observation program aims not only to foster dialogue and collegiality among the ELC faculty but also to support them in their progress as educators.
The program will allow the lecturers to observe their peers, specifically to provide constructive feedback and not to conduct a formal evaluation of their classroom techniques, pedagogical skills and strategies.
During the open forum, ELC HOC Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Balushi clarified that the program is for immediate implementation this semester.
