ELC Lecturer Facilitates Workshop for Registrars
ELC lecturer, Mr. Waleed Mandour, facilitated a workshop dubbed “Deploying ASCTimetable Software for Academic Department Timetables” at the conference room on May 31, 2016.
Academic registrars attended the workshop aimed at sharing insightful practice on using "ASCTimetables Software" to plot college timetables.
Mr. Waleed underscored that “timetables should be as customizable as possible to: 1) generate timetables suitable for teachers’ availability and breaks, 2) consider students’ study load, 3) allow possible changes that may occur during the academic year , and 4) send notifications via email to students and teachers about timetable updates. “
The lecturer also noted that “deploying the software requires constant coordination among all the departments to feed in the right data in one complete timetable file.”
The Educational Technology Center organized the workshop.
