ELC HOC spearheads general Staff Meeting
English Language Center (ELC) Head Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Balushi welcomed the ELC faculty during the Center’s first General Staff Meeting held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, September 6, 2016.
In the two-hour meeting, Mr. Ali presented the students’ results during the previous academic year, the teaching plan for Semester 1, the ELC committees, and the new administrative decisions.
The HOC likewise discussed the plans and projects of the different committees this academic year.
He also disclosed the possible establishment of ELC’s Research Committee. Currently, the Center has five committees: Quality Assurance, Academic Support, Staff Support, Students’ Support and Center Resources Committee.
“Let us work together to make this academic year successful,” the HOC urged the ELC staff comprised of 76 lecturers.
Emphasizing the College’s focus on quality assurance, Mr. Ali encouraged the lecturers to regularly maintain their course files and portfolio.
