ShCT Students visit Sohar Aluminum Power Plant
Twenty-one Diploma students, currently undertaking Projects in Electrical Power Section, visited Sohar Aluminum Power Plant(SAPP) on May 15, 2016.
The Engineering Department(ED), in coordination with ShCT’s On-the-Job Training Department organized the Industrial Visit for its exit level Diploma students.
ED lecturer Dr. Yassir Osman accompanied the students.
Through the visit, students had a deeper understanding of Safety Procedures followed in the Power Plant.
SAPP’s technical support and training engineer Mr. Hamed Al-Sinani discussed safety awareness as he explained all the safety procedures and departments inside the plant like the control unit and operation site.
The visit enabled the students to observe the application of the theoretical concepts and practical aspects they studied during their courses in Electrical Power Engineering.
