The Advanced Diploma Mechanical Engineering students, accompanied by ED faculty members Mr. Babu and Mr. T. Raja, visited the plant of Jindal Shadeed Iron & Steel LLC, Sohar on January 24, 2017.

Mr. Moosa Al-Balushi, Safety Engineer from HSE Department, explained the safety norms followed in the plant.

Mr. Venkiteshan, Assistant Process Engineer (Direct-reduced iron or DRI), demonstrated the various processes in the plant.

The Engineering Department, in coordination with ShCT’s On-the-Job Training Department organized the industrial visit.
