Fifteen students enrolled in Diploma in Mechanical Engineering participated in an educational tour at Al Samna Metal Manufacturing & Trading Company LLC on February 04, 2016.

Production in-charge Mr. Ali Jebril explained the various activities in the manufacturing plant to the students.

Accompanied by two faculty members Mr. Atchaiah Sastry and Dr. Jinnah Sheik Mohammed, the students observed various operations like metal sheet trimming, circular and rectangle seam pipe making, and large and medium fabrication systems. 

Apart from showing the manufacturing operations, Mr. Ali showed the company’s finishing operations like sand blasting and painting activities. 

Moreover, the students took a closer look at the following facilities: seam welding, heavy and medium material handling, sheet bending, and raw material and finished goods storage systems.

The Engineering Department, in coordination with ShCT’s On-the-Job Training Department, organized the industrial visit.
