A group of Advanced Diploma students enrolled in Civil Engineering visited the construction site of Sultan Qaboos Mosque, Shinas on March 14, 2017.

In cooperation with ShCT’s OJT Department, the Engineering Department organized the visit to the Mosque being constructed by Dawood Contracting LLC.

The industrial visit aimed to educate the students on the construction of dome (shell structure), prefabricated slabs with expansion joints, scaffolding techniques and planning of mosque construction.

Dawood Contracting Site Manager Mr. Yousef Abdullah Hassan Al-Shizawi explained the safety measures followed in the site and discussed the construction methods.
