BTech students visit Engineering Workshop Site
The BTech Project (Part B) students of Civil Engineering visited the engineering workshop, being constructed by Ibthaj Trading & Construction, in Shinas College of Technology on May 12, 2016.
In co-ordination with the OJT Department, the Engineering Department organized the site visit.
Civil Engineering lecturer Mr. Praveen Kumar Ramadas guided the students during the visit.
Fourteen students participated in the visit to gain knowledge for the completion of their project as part of the curriculum.
The visit allowed them to acquire knowledge regarding steel structures, the type of connection used and composite slab.
The site engineer explained the different stages of construction and the importance of project management in maintaining the schedule of the construction activities.
